When it comes to eating healthy and cruelty free, we all think of fruits, grains and vegetables. However, we often think of how this food gets processed and how the system at the farm.
A few weeks ago I spoke to Marlen Estrada a young lady who is an advocate for the farmers and their families, she is just one more person who makes a difference along with The Farm Workers Project.
The Farmworker Project's mission is to amplify the voices of farmworkers, educate the public of the true history of the food system/ how these farmworkers contribute to this country with little to no recognition and respect and to build a system that gives our farmworkers the proper representation and pay they deserve.

In response to the series of fires in California starting August 18, 2020, the farmworker project is collecting donations, 100% of which will go directly to farmworkers through supplies, redistribution of funds to farmworker families in need, and to wage replacement for farmworkers to decide whether they want to work in these conditions.
FEMA does not provide disaster relief funding to undocumented workers.
This fund is setup to directly provide farmworkers with monetary needs during this time. No money will be directed to other farmworker project initiatives or to other non-profit initiatives.
